I would have done the same. If you kick my kid I'm not going to check if you fit the physical description of a person with down syndrome before I knock the shit out of you... I'm going to knock you out before you kick my kid again. A punch to the face is not an extreme act of violence, it just looks worse to some of you because he's black.
