the fact the domain does not resolve in the browser only means he does not have an a record for the domain.
you don't need to have an a record for the domain to work for email.
while some email blacklists will consider it a bad domain if it doesn't have an a record
it does not mean the contact info is bad, it just means it is set up as a email only domain.

i check his dns to see if he had a valid mx record for the domain, it did
i sent him an email from one of my mail server which does not have an a record blacklist
it worked
what you said did not make sense so i asked what the hell you were talking about.
