If you are talking about those seen on the infomercials - they don't work. I was getting ready to buy one a few months back and the reviews on Amazon rated it just above a toy.
Yes it won't burn you, but, well go to Amazon and read the reviews.
I ended up buying a bigger traditional electric one.
