What happened with the spam complaint is that the last owner used the domain to spam with. Thats where the traffic is coming from.
That can also cause you issues with sponsor programs so let them know how you acquired the domain and when.
You will really have to do some testing, and that means changing the landing pages ever 1 to 2 weeks until you find something that converts.
If the person that had it before was truly spamming, then you may never find something that converts as 300 of the 3 k are looking for teen, 220 are looking to amateur milf 100 looking for tranny 1k looking for something else...
Its hard to please all of the people all of the time and the traffic may not be worth the time.
