Here's the sad part. When I was a kid w had a phone, that had a cord on it, and you had to DIAL the fucking numbers. god forbid someone had a "0" in their number, you'd be there all damn day dialing. If they had 2 "0's" you'd be better off just waiting for them to call YOU.
So that's what we had and as a kid I hated it. Now.. that I'm older and a father. I moved up to a cordless, but it's damn near a first generation. It has no called ID, no answering machine and the ring is loud and as annoying as fuck... but I LOVE THAT PHONE!

I can relate to that one. I have my grand-parents old black rotary phone and it still functions like the day it was first plugged into the wall. (early 1960's) Ugly loud ringing bell inside, though.
