Raid 0 rocks for performance i have 2 10k rpm drives in raid 0 on my workstation

Unless you tell me that you needed the spindles for performance (which I doubt, as your comments are pretty outlandish) there is no reason for raid 0. You should be using raid 1 or 1+0 for redundancy.

Yea, the investment of $250 on 2 1 TB disks is far too steep. Use raid 1.
