You answered your own question, I do believe.... giving them the option but dropping their pay by $10 per join.
I am not complaining, not at all. but that's exactly why no one opted for it, they didn't want to lose the extra $10 to not have the xsells on there.
Nice idea on paper, but getting people to take a cut in pay to do something isn't the easiest job in the world.
