Well cash is still being invested, in software alone in one qtr last year VC's invested in over 210 companies over 1 billion dollars!
Is it harder, sure but its out there for those that are unique with a serious plan and proof they can execute it, I dont think people know how much cash is out there waiting for the right person to come along with the right idea.
The best advice I can give in times like these where more are trying to rasie money yet less are trying to invest money is as follows:
If you walk into a room with your idea just on paper or some PowerPoint presentation you will most likely not get a penny unless its some extreme good idea. Thats why people who have product ideas spend 1000's to get a prototype done because it makes it 10x easier to raise cash.
Try to get your site as close as possible to launch and youll have a 10x better chance of raising money quick.
