PC gaming has more games, better graphics, better sound, better online competition, the players aren't all console controller nubes, mouse/keyboard makes for expert-like gaming control, games get updated, some games add new content for free, a far bigger player base for online multiplayer, no special fees for playing online, your machine is fully customizable.
But, all that greatness can be too much for the light of heart gamers. So if you just want to get some console to plug up to your tv and play, that might be best. Just sucks that this box will be obsolete in a couple years and you can't upgrade it.

I get the feeling you haven't owned a console for awhile. I used to feel exactly the same way, until I started playing PS3 in my Plasma tv in 1080p. Now I very rarely, if ever, play PC games anymore.
