Record companys are still suing people for illegal downloads. This should be the same thing. Webmasters who's products have turned up on theses sites should be notified of who owes what, and just like Napster, both the Tube sites AND the surfers who downloaded or viewed should be liable for monitary damages to the owners of said stolen material.

agree with you, just doing a dmca only gets that specific material removed, but does zero to solve the problem..... if the content owners got more aggressive and sued and subpoenad ip information and got some of the people who are uploading (and therefore not at all protected by dmca) then that would send some shock into the system
it is pretty lazy to just stop at a simple dmca takedown request, isn't it?
