Bank Teller Found In Motel After Alleged Theft
WESTLAKE VILLAGE (CBS) ― A bank teller was caught in a motel room with most of the $35,000 in cash he had allegedly pilfered from his employer, it was reported Sunday.
Casey Nolan, 22, was caught in a Holiday Inn Express in Simi Valley
after his employers discovered $18,000 was missing, and noticed he had failed to show up for work.
Subsequent investigation at the Westlake Village branch of the Wells
Fargo Bank found that a total of $35,000 had disappeared over two days, the Ventura County Star reported.
Nolan reportedly admitted to have embezzled that amount over two days,
and was found with $30,450 in cash, the paper said.
He is being held in a Ventura County jail on a $200,000 bail.
