Really makes you wonder...

I think I see one of these articles at least every hunting season... "Dog shoots man"

Wonder what the dog thinks after it happens.. "Oh shit.. there goes my gravy train for the next week!"

"Ore. hunter says dog shot him in the leg

Associated Press

PORTLAND, Ore. - A Tillamook man sustained a leg injury when his 12-gauge shotgun accidentally discharged during a duck-hunting trip on Tillamook Bay.

The Oregon State Police says the man's dog is the prime suspect.

Sgt. Todd Hoodenpyl says 23-year-old Matthew Markum and his younger brother were using an aluminum boat to go from land to their decoys Saturday morning.

Markum's father says Matthew was standing in Tillamook Bay at the start of the trip when his dog jumped into the boat, setting off a 12-gauge shotgun.

The blast blew a hole in the aluminum boat before hitting Matthew Marcum, who is recovering from injuries to his legs and buttocks at Portland's Legacy Emanuel Hospital.

The elder Marcum said the Labrador named Drake is a good dog and the shooting is "just one of those things." "
