As others have pointed out already, Customs in a matter of speaking is above the law when it comes to search and seizure.

Count your lucky stars that the situation wasn't even worse - there are numerous instances, in which computers, content, etc are seized by Customs and seemingly disappear into the abyss for months, years, or even forever.
