Tony, I've seen shit come and seen shit go. Again...if what those guys are doing lead to them getting massive chargebacks, then they will go out of business all on their own.
What can you do to make them change their eeevvvviiiillll ways? Nothing.
Obviously it does make a lot of money for them.
So a bunch of guys posting on an internet message board is going to make the programs making millions and millions of dollars stop because we're worried that Visa is gonna shut us down?
I don't see that happening.
I've done this a long time. So you know that I'm one of the people in it for the long haul.
But newsflash...a lot of the guys doing what you are objecting to, are the same companies that were doing stuff 5 years ago that everybody screamed about. And 10 years ago that everybody screamed about.
Yet, they are still in business and making majoy bank. How long do they have to do that before it's no longer "short term"?
If Visa decides to do something about it, then fine. Until then there are literally tens of millions of dollars being made and nobody in their right mind is going to walk away from that kind of revenue.
If Visa makes it against their rules then so be it. No skin off my back. But the constant attacking against the very people who pay the bills to 99% of the clowns posting is just ridiculous. It doesn't get anything done.
What's the end game supposed to be?
Are the sites that you and the others dissaprove of supposed to say: "Well, you guys have shamed us into changing. Therefore we will now say goodbye to more money than any of you have ever seen in your lives"
Or is someone from GFY going to go to VISA and complain and get it done?
Oh, wait a minute....that's already been done. And what the hell was the thinking of that?
There were and are only TWO outcomes of that.
1) Visa says "So what" Which is what they have done so far. So you accomplish nothing.
or
2) Visa says "HOLY SHIT!" and decides that if our own people are complaining then it IS time to pull out of adult.
Do you see any other options? Or any other reasoning for the constant barrage of this shit?
Hell, the surfers know about x-sells. If there is any webmaster left on the face of the earth that doesn't know about them now...well, they don't deserve to be a webmaster. So there is NO point in these threads anymore...
EXCEPT for the guys who love to start shit and fight all the time. It's a sport to them. They sit in their house in front of a keyboard, totally powerless in this world....BUT they can go head to head with major players in this business and cause them trouble. Now that's something for a lonely guy to be able to be proud of!
