I dunno I am fat but for core exercises doing crunches on a ball is pretty good
There is another ball exercise, not sure what its called but:
get into like a pressup postion but with your legs under your knees up on the ball
then basically just pull your feet in under your body and let the ball move down your legs to your feet - hold it for a second then back
you should feel that one work, it will realy work your abs
