Yeah, I thought about that as well. I had tile work done on the landing, and kitchen. But we opted for some dark carpet, and to glue it down.

My main complaint, or concern, is that with most carpet. The padding will get ripped to hell by your wheels on your office chair. Like used to happen at my old place. I did not want that to happen here.

Once the padding gets bad, your chair leans, and then effects your arms and back. This is even WITH the carpet pad guard thing.

The dark shows EVERYTHING, but it is just my office. The carpet type seems to be a good match so far.
