the sad thing is, it is already happening, and it is very widespread, but there is a multi billion dollar business behind it, and they work to have good or no publicity about the subject, and often they somehow have high level government members on their side for some reason (hmm)
it is getting harder to find many grains and corns that aren't grown from genetically modified seeds, so if you buy regular cereals or breads or eat such in restaurants or burgers etc....
do a google search on monsanto gmo and then skip over the results that are the own companies spin doctoring and look at some of the issues involved in this huge topic, there is alot at stake, including the ability of a farmer to self sustain and grow from his own seeds
Monsanto is also involved in many legal cases in protecting their goals to spread their gmo seed business
