The CPS have more info on their site about what they class as obscene. The new possession law only comes into play if the content is already obscene under current law. The Ministry of Justice released guidelines (posted somewhere on GFY) that made that very clear.
The way I work is very simple. If the BBFC would issue a classification for it, its OK. If you can find R18 fisting movies then its fine, if not, avoid it.
