They do not sell hosting, they are not an affiliate. They have nothing to gain by insisting on dedicated IP's. Yet if you want to use their service you must have a dedicated IP, or go elsewhere.

I pretty much agree with them, but as with so much other things in SEO the thing has been blown out of proportion.
