My opinion is that it matters to such a small degree that its neglible, but with conditions.
For example, don't share sites within the same niche/category on the same IP to avoid being labelled as duplicate content. Try also not to doing link exchanges to other sites on the same C-block.
Other than that, I'd say go ahead and share IPs between sites.
