ePassporte Preventative Security Measures

We were recently notified that there has been a spike in compromised merchants and ATMs worldwide, especially in the Eastern European countries. As a preventive measure to protect our Account Holders, we took immediate action to notify and preempt potential fraudulent transactions on our Account Holders? cards. We realized this would cause some inconvenience for our Account Holders, but felt it was necessary to ensure that our customers? funds remain safe. We believe this increase in compromised merchants and ATMs is linked to our current troubled economic environment. We urge everyone to be vigilant with ALL credit / debit card transactions by checking online statements, changing PINs and checking all ATMs for anything unusual before using it. Fraudsters have advanced from utilizing phishing attacks to now skimming cards at merchants and ATMs to enable them to duplicate cards and using video cameras and other methods to capture PINs to enable the fraudsters to withdraw funds via ATMs. ePassporte will continue to monitor trends and keep our Account Holders informed of ways to protect their money.

If you have any questions please email me at [email protected]

Thanks
Michael Olsen
