The purse thing never bothered me.
I hate meeting parents though. I very much hate meeting people when there is any stress involved and meeting parents is one of those situations. Going to dinner with the girlfriend's parents is hell for me. I broke up with a girl before Christmas because I didn't want to go to her parents house for dinner..lol.
