Once there was a guy who sold pirated video games. Not popular games like Grand Theft Auto, but some cheap games like Bust-A-Move. They were about two dozen titles.
The company that made the games sold them for $20. He sold them on eBay for $10. He would burn a CD and slap on a CD label. He was doing pretty good selling them and the company didn't know. This went on for at least a year and a half.
And then one day one customer was not thrilled that the bottom of his CD was blue. So he left negative feedback. But the sales continued. The guy left his disgruntled buyer negative feedback in return. So the buyer sent the CD to the company (and left a follow up comment advising of this).
A month later, all of this guys listings got removed, and all of his previous listings got removed. You couldn't see any of them. So it's obvious that the company complained to eBay.

So one day the guy posted a whole bunch of Palm Pilots and iPods for sale. And why not? He's been a seller for a long time. He's got a feedback rating over 99.8%. And his customers are covered by PayPal Buyer Protection. And he took the money and left.
