No way, that's the kind of thing that a person who doesn't work out might think. One hour a day in the gym is more than enough to get ripped even in middle age if you work out intensely almost every day and most importantly eat a very healthy diet. Anyone who spends more than ninety minutes in the gym who isn't a professional bodybuilder is not using their time efficiently, and is probably wasting time socializing or posing in the mirror.
