To be fair scuzz, I think your expectations are too high. You hire a designer to physicly create something for you, but you are also paying them for their ideas and creativity.
And more importantly you are paying for their TIME.
90% of the designers here are always booked/always working. To think that they would stop work and spend a few hours (20+ bucks an hour for a good designer btw) trying to punt for your job is unrealistic i think.
"A bunch of people seem to think I should hire them, pay half, and then go through their ideas with them."-----Well... thats how its generally done. Sorry about that.
I Hope someone does come through for you though. And I hope I havent offended.
