So you need an eating instrument to slow you down? Basically the argument you make for chopsticks is that they are not as efficient as a knife and fork, thus you will eat proper portions. Because if you used a knife and fork (or spoon) you would get way too much food in the mouth at one shot. That's just another way of saying what I said but making it a good thing. How about just practice self control?

And yes I eat a bowl of noodles with a Knife and fork all the time. You dont see Italians whipping out two sticks to eat some pasta.
