Can you explain then why people get different IP's for their blog network or network of sites/tgp's and some even get different hosting for each one? I'm so confused.
Thank you..

Apparently it has less and less weight every day because of all the virtual hosting. I am setting up my blog network with a hub, that basically is just links to my different blogs. The hub only has links back to it from my blogs, all my stuff is on the same ip at hostgator and that hub has PR1 and only been around a few weeks. By the way, Hostgator(in my sig) is cheap, unlimited domains, reliable and even though I needed to update my payment credit card on file with paypal, kept my site up and running even though I was away for several days without realizing it. They are giving 20% right now with the coupon code in my signature.
