Expect a fair amount of trolls and abuse - getting that is a given. But if you make it clear you're not a drive-by spammer but just a regular btard who happens to make sites, the reaction generally is fairly positive. Especially if you give something back - like a dump of your favorite images from a certain niche.
Gotcha! I figured that the average GFY spammer would do something like anontalk and trigger, well judging buy your comments, you know what happened with that . Wasn't pretty.

But you are correct if you hit them straight up they are surprisingly reasonable. My comments weren't directed towards your approach but to those "enterprising" spammers who would just write a bot to flood comment spam, which is what I'm mainly advising against.
