props to the captain to keep a cool head and put down the bird in the drink.

the most critical point in a flight is take off and the intial 20 seconds after lift off, the aircraft needs the most thrust to climb out, engine failure at this stage is critical however passenger jets are designed to be able to still maintain level flight or even still climb out on one engine, however it takes a very competent pilot to control the plane in the moment the one engine fails, the thrust is no longer symmetrical so the plane has a strong tendency to roll over and crash.
in case with all engines out, the pilot only has one choice, find a place to make the crash landing the least volatile and this guy did a great job at that.
