Stop producing quality content, and people will stop digging you, linking to you, etc.
In terms of numbers, it will be a relatively small network, and members will gain most by simply working together with others. Anyone who suddenly replaces sites with link farms and such will get kicked out immediately, and will lose almost all of his links in a matter of days.
Decide to fuck shit up, and you simply get dropped from the network.
