Look, before you got all crazy on me...I thought my point was pretty obvious.
They are fighting over DIRT. In their minds it's "holy" because they all believe in their own brand of superstitions. They call it religion. To me it's not much different than fighting over whose Santa Claus or Tooth Fairy is the "real" one.
All this fighting and death over what? Some arid, dry, desert land.
I mean...maybe if it was some nice beach front property in Palm Beach then it could make a little bit of sense.

You said they just instinctively hate and want to kill. Well, I don't think it was always that way. Before WW2....it was all "Lawrence Of Arabia" and the romantic French Foreign Legion. The mideast was a place where archaeologists went and home of exotic belly dancing.
We kinda stirred up the muslim community by creating Isreal in the middle of Palestine. Then it was easy for the religious leaders there to use nationalism to turn the population into religious zealots.
That's what I meant when I said "in hindsight it wasn't a good idea"
So take a chill pill and relax. I wasn't attacking anybody. Just pointing out what I think is the utter and complete foolishness of all the killing over there.
