As for his boxing career, I was at his debut fight at the Ft. Lauderdale War Memorial Auditorium in I believe 1991. Rourke had some skill and could punch, but his defense was terrible and he got hit a ton. He got busted up really bad in that fight, although he won a decision, and I've seen tape of a few of his other fights and getting busted up was a common theme.
