    Contest Rules

    We all agree that too many contests are annoying and fuel post whores. So:

    1. No 'most posts in a thread contests'. Max 100 posts in a thread by one person.

    2. No one registered in less than 60 days before can post in a contest thread.

    It sucks when GFY is trying to get rid of surfers to see known surfers posting over 100 posts. Hardly any of them have a website or contact info. The cheaters will probably win and if the Mods are too busy to watch every contest it would be nice to see the sponsors put a stop to it.

          started only 36 hours ago and already people have 100 posts! I hope the rules will be enforced to keep it fair for all and stop all these surfers coming on board.

          Some users had not posted on GFY before the last MaxCash contest http://www.gfy.com/showthread.php?t=...hlight=MaxCash and made their first post and the next 50 exclusively in that thread!

Most sponsors mention the 100 posts rule in the first post so that there is no abuse of that rule. If one sponsor is getting more exposure because people are breaking that rule ...... how is that fair to all the other sponsors who run a contest and make sure people don't break the 100 post limit, and disqualify them if they do!

                                                                                          There is a lot of hate at GFY. The contests are a good way to pass some time between downloads, and other work.

                                                                                          I read a lot of info here and unlike some of the immature posts in this thread some of it is worthwhile! :

                                                                                          For a sponsor to run a contest they MUST be a top banner advertiser. Most sponsors mention the 100 posts rule in the first post so that there is no abuse of that rule. If one sponsor is getting more exposure because people are breaking that rule ...... how is that fair to all the other sponsors who run a contest and make sure people don't break the 100 post limit, and disqualify them if they do!

                                                                                                          I also see the big picture. I also know there should be less contests running at same time than there typically is in the first place. Forget about top advertisers and 100 post limits.
                                                                                                          Many also should be able to see that "most post type contests" which are banned are really not that different than "bump" contests.

                                                                                                          There also is something very wrong with a whole slew of people and bots that just post in such threads and give nothing to the board anywhere else.
