I'd worry about the GLARING leaks before anything silly like that. It would be like saying sponsors shouldn't watermark FHG images because it's a "leak". Most sponsors would have your code passed through anyways, so you'd get credit for the sale.
Have had received credit for sales on sites i've never promoted.
