Our dog did the same thing when we use booties in the winter for him. He didn't even want to do his business with them at first. But he got used to them. He doesn't mind the boots, but hates the time having to put them on. It saves his paws from the freezing Canadian winters and the salt that people use on the roads/sidewalks, so its worth it.
