I am picky and just do not buy many convenience foods.
I may have plenty of "fatty" cured meats, cheeses, pickles, and such on hand. Yet rarely will I go crazy and eat way to much - to fatty on tongue.
I also make it a point to cook good meals each day and eat on time. I think people may end up eating more because of a lack of schedule. I take time out to make and eat lunch, of I will pre pack a lunch the night before.
I also try to not spend every moment at the computer. My brain just does not function as well if I constantly push myself that way. It does better with occasional breaks.
I do shove a lot of flavor into what I do eat, I do not hold back on fats and such. I do however make sure I eat well and not crazy portions. This way I do not feel I am missing out at all.
Then of course I do make sure I keep some more healthy stuff sitting around for quick use. From always having fresh fruits on hand to frozen fruits and yogurt in the fridge for quick smoothies and such.
I just wish I could put on extra weight myself.
