I have been a vegetarian** for about a year and a half and I have never felt better. My diet is more balanced and I have had a lot more energy. I also lost 40 lbs after making the change. I turned vegetarian for health reasons, not because I don't believe in slaughter.
** I do eat sushi or cooked fish once or twice a week, so I'm not a full on veg. I do not think I will eat a land animal ever again, as the smell just doesn't appeal to me anymore. To each their own though!
