It's still in its embryonic phases, but I see this happening more and more. Specially as medical information databases and rapid transportation services evolve. It has started with elective surgery and organ transplants, it's just a matter of time until HMOs or a nationalized health system uses this to save on costs. Over time, costs will go down and service selection will go up. The key is to manage the future and make sure it produces a WIN WIN.
