Especially with beans, you have to soak those overnight.

I scoop a half cup of Quaker Oatmeal as my first meal every day. Broccoli, I do have brocolli in the freezer, but I don't eat it as often as I should. It is one of the TOP 5 veggies to eat, too. This vegetable really fends off diseases like no other. Cabbage, no. Potatoes, I love them, but don't eat them as much as I should. They're another veggie that's really good for you..especially sweet potoatoes. Nuts, I get those every day. I always eat an ounce of almonds every day. Walnuts are the top of the chain for health when it comes to nuts, though. I just don't like the taste that much. I did try to get used to them once. I suppose I should try again.

You do not need to soak beans overnight to use them (dried). You could also just use canned beans if your inclined since you already mention eating Hormel chili. So by using canned beans you would be roughly 20 minutes tops away from chili. Cooking for yourself is not something that is that hard.
You mention eating Quaker oats, it does say a bit since you did feel inclined to drop the name brand. You did fail to mention the type of oats which is of much more significance especially since some oats are nothing more that pure roughage at best.
Not going to say it is bad but you should not need to be looking the freezer to find your vegetables that you consume. If you are eating enough of them in the first place you will find that fresh ones will make more since (few exceptions).
