Honestly, it's no more than the general population. People just let it fly more here.
Most people I meet in real life seem normal for the first ten minutes then they say that one thing that makes you go.."wow, this guy is fucking crazy". Usually something racist or paranoid or some other statement they seem to believe wholeheartedly yet is utterly insane.
But also, webmasters are generally anti-social. There is a reason people gravitate towards the jobs they have. Sticking with a job that forces you to work alone through your computer probably means you don't get along well with others. Probably because you are not very tactful and say or act inappropriately. Or possibly the social norm irritates you so working with others full time is very stressful. Doesn't make you a bad person, but it does mean you may say things or act in a way that will stir up trouble.
