Private prisons and other institutions within law enforcement should not exist. They should be banned.
This is the PERFECT example of what happens when you turn law enforcement duties into profiit-generating industries: justice goes by the wayside, the door is opened to this very kind of corruption, and justice takes a backseat to money and revenue and it is exactly the reason the US incarcerates more people than any other country on the planet.
