Not true. We stepped in after she broke her hip on the OTHER siblings watch. She hadn't called my husband in 2.5 years. She broke her hip and demanded he be called... because they were going to put her into a home... then she guilted us into taking care of her... Then we found out a SLEW of estate issues... where they'd completely fucked her estate.. and just wanted her in a home to die.
Which ya know.. maybe he and I are bleeding hearts... or maybe it's just a fuck you to the other siblings to keep her in a lifestyle that keeps her living...
The minute you put these people into those homes... it's a death sentence.
Now the way I see it, as a human being in my head.... She had her chance at life... put her in the home and to hell with her...
But the bleeding heart, girl side of me thinks that's not fair.
Trust me, it's an ongoing battle... and everyone EVENTUALLY will have to face it to some degree...
It's just a LOT easier to face when the older person is actually nice.... or at least invested emotionally....
