It was introduced by the government after one of the islands became independant, but still under the Dutch flag/law I believe. They guarantee it to 2026 (the 2% company tax that is).
Read it well and obtain advise since you need a permit to get it (prove you are doing internet business, rent an office on the e-zone, etc. according to all their rules).
