Thanks for the info.
I would be willing to work for $100 a day as I'm doing this more for the experience than the money & I believe once I'm out there if I was working for minimum wage I'd be able to find a better job.
The jobs I've seen advertised are in Las Vegas working for the new Casinos that are opening up in October. They don't start recruiting or accepting applications until June though. Ideally I'd like to get out there sometime in April/May time and get some work probably in a hotel/casino before hand.
The jobs I'm keen on are IT related, but I'd be happy to do most hotel related jobs. I worked for Holiday Inn years ago setting up conference & banqueting rooms. Even driving jobs/valet parking would do as I just want to get away for a year & see what happens.
The number the US Embassy gives to phone cost £1.20 per minute to phone & doesn't indicate how long you can expect the call to last or be on hold for, so not too keen on that.
Other sites offering visas seem to want about £85+ for a consultation?
I can't seem to find any clear information I trust online.
I found this
http://www.cvtips.com/las_vegas_job_...s_casinos.html which if accurate looks extremely hopeful, but info I've see on other sites makes it look much harder than they suggested.
