Was he supposed to just sit around with his thumb up his ass for the first month? There's only 48 of them in a term.
I wouldn't get on Obama about this - I'd get on him/congress for removing the pay cap in the stimulus bill after they passed it, before he signed it...that was pretty atrocious.
