Need help with Final Cut Pro 6

So I am having a serious issue with Final Cut Studio 2. Heres the scoop...

I film with a Sony DSR-PD170 DVCam video camera, using normal Mini DVs and setting are set to use them. I am editing on a brand new IMac and Macbook Pro, external 500 gig WD Hard-Drive.

I bring my footage in via iMovie.

I have no troubles bringing it in or moving it to my external hard drive. WHen I have the footage imported into Final Cut Pro 6 it looks flawless (If i view the footage via any camera hooked to my TV it is flawless.) However once I export my edited footage to Compressor it has serious horizontal lines in it. Any moving subject has the lines. It is HORRIBLE.

I have done everything I can think of to fix it. I was using a firewire 400 to 800 cord on my macbook, heard it causes issue so i bought an iMac with a firewire 400 slot. Brought the footage in again and it looked even better then before. It looked GREAT!!! Figured I solved it...

Edited a couple small clips and exported and saw a few lines but not as bad as before. So I took some advice and added the filter De-Interlace, and it worked. But it dont work on all my videos. SOme have a ton of lines some have little lines, some dont.

Settings on the camera have been set everytime. I love the settings on this camera!

I am certain my raw footage is flawless. I am certain it is something I am doing or not doing. I am new to Macs and Final Cut but have Vegas and Premier experience. I thought i was picking up everything fast and it all seemed to kind of connect. But with the issue I have at hand that must be far from true.

Any help would be wonderful. I have thought of everything I know about this and nothing works. All my gear and comps are brand new, and high quality and I could have swore I knew how to work this stuff since this isn't my first time doing this LOL.

Email me or post here any ideas help.
