over here is about 5 EUR or 1% of the check (larger amount is paid)...
but not same situation in all banks...

PS:
Trusted bank customers, on checks below $500, get cash right away!
(no waiting for collections)

PPS: I prefer ePassporte! It lowers costs + no need going to bank!
