It's not just LA radio this is happening to. Opie and Anthony lost a lot of their Citadel markets despite high ratings, because it was cheaper for Citadel to pay a low wage disc jockey to push buttons and play songs than it was to pay O+A's syndication fees. The bottom line is the ad market for radio stations is in the shitter, and if they can't sell ads it doesn't matter what your ratings are. I listen to Opie and Anthony on XM Sirius, but if XM Sirius goes bankrupt I don't know what I'll listen to...
