Tragic as those types of events are they still do not occur often enough to warrant a ban on them. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Just with any other tool they want to use, it isn't the tools intent but that of the persons. If someone wants to kill someone I seriously doubt strict gun laws will stop them, they will simply look for another means.
