I'm learning Japanese right now because for some reason its structure makes the most sense to me, it's like mathematical formulas almost, if that makes sense. It's also pretty easy for me to pick out words before I even know what they are when I'm listening to Japanese people talk, one of my best friends since I was in HS is Japanese and she's been after me to try and learn it for ages because she thinks I have a 'natural affinity' for it because I could figure out words just from listening to her family.
So what I'm saying is, I think those three languages are pretty different and it probably would be beneficial to try the first level of all three of them on livemocha or something (I know I pimp the hell out of that site, but I'm using it for Japanese and French and I love it) and see if any of them seem easier to you than the others?
I dunno, from my experience certain languages just stick more in my brain than others. For some reason, I can get Japanese and French phrases 'stuck' in my head like a song, but it never happens with, say, Spanish, even though on paper Spanish should be just as easy as French to learn.
